𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲 - 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑-𝟕𝟎𝟏𝟑𝟓𝟒 On January 11, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers responded for a report of a burglary in the 1900 block of Shore Drive in Edgewater. As officers approached the address, they observed the suspect, as described by the victim, exiting a boat that was docked down the street from the victim's address. Officers took the suspect into custody without incident. During the course of their investigation, officers learned that the suspect entered the victim's residence and when confronted, immediately left the residence. The victim observed the suspect walk down the street, onto the pier and enter one of the docked boats, which they knew did not belong to the suspect. Officers were able to make contact with the boat owner and verified that the suspect had illegally entered the vessel without permission. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. Another owl?! Cpl. Hill was in south county when he was approached by a woman with an interesting question. The Good Samaritan found a juvenile owl on the side of the road who appeared injured. Cpl. Hill, with the assistance of Cpl. Struck was able to arrange help for this feathered friend. The owner of Kennels to Collars Rescue met Cpl. Hill in a local shopping center, she made arrangements for Owl Moon Raptor Rescue to take the bird to give it intense care. The bird had several broken tail feathers and head trauma. We are told that he is making positive strides. THANK YOU to all the amazing people involved in this rescue.
