Police Accountability Board
(PAB)

As of 1 July 2022, the Law Enforcement Officers’ Bill of Rights will be repealed. The Maryland General Assembly has passed Bill 670 which requires all counties in Maryland to create a Police Accountability Board system to replace the Bill of Rights. To bring this entity into existence, a lot of time, work and people power will be required. Please feel free to read the PAB notes to get a better understanding as to what the state is requiring of counties. We are urging constituents to write to their senators and delegates to allow for more time to make an appropriate and just disciplinary system for our officers.
