The Anne Arundel County Police Department make every effort to be out in the communities talking, laughing and enjoying the time spent with the residents that they serve and protect. From Coffee With A Cop to holiday events to PCRC meetings, there are multiple functions that the public can come out, ask questions and get to know our county's officers. The Anne Arundel County Police would like to remind our community members to take advantage of our 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 at any of our district stations. It's a secure and convenient place to meet buyers or sellers.
𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 If you plan to purchase items using e-commerce sites or apps and have to meet in person to complete the transaction, please consider the following safety tips: •Insist on a public meeting place. Do not meet in a secluded place. •Do not enter someone else’s house or allow them into yours. •Complete the transaction during daylight hours. •Be especially careful when buying/selling high-value items. •Consider making exchanges at one of our Safe Transaction Zones •Take your cell phone along if you have one. •Have someone accompany you and tell others where you're going. •Trust your instincts. This is an annual drive through Jumpstart, a group that sets out to read the same book world-wide on the same day each year. Thank you to Principal Colleen Harris and her staff for welcoming us. We enjoyed every moment of our visit. |
